Upon noticing the disparity and inequality of women compared to men in the field of STEM, Athena's founder, Shiying Sun, decided to create a community were women in STEM of all ages and all fields can get together and discuss topics and ask each other questions. This is a place were the more experienced can help the less experienced and the less experienced can seek help and mentorship, creating more role models for young girls.
